The MoAs, totaling ₹1.10 crore, were exchanged between Shri Pramod Boro, Chief of BTC, and Shri Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M) of NTPC, with the presence of several senior officials. The projects target key areas including education, livelihoods, and healthcare, aiming to improve the lives of the BTR region’s residents.
The initiative includes a ₹60 lakh project to establish a Space Education Lab to promote scientific curiosity among students and a ₹30 lakh project to support Eri Silk and Handloom Village in Raimona National Park, designed to preserve traditional crafts and empower local artisans, especially women. In addition to this, a Boat Ambulance Service at Khutabagra will be supported with ₹20 lakh to enhance healthcare accessibility in remote riverine areas.
NTPC’s commitment to “People Before Power” is evident through these projects. The exchange of the signed MoAs symbolized the collaborative vision of BTC and NTPC for sustainable development in the BTR. Shri Pramod Boro commended NTPC for its continuous support and commitment to the region’s growth, while Shri Debabrata Kar emphasized NTPC’s dedication to inclusive growth and community well-being.
