NEW DELHI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed six major infrastructure projects worth more than ₹30,000 crore across the Railway, Road and Power sectors during the 53rd PRAGATI meeting. The projects span nine states. He stressed the need for faster execution without compromising quality and called for an integrated approach to infrastructure planning. Ministries and states were asked to explore common utility corridors wherever technically and economically feasible, adopt modern technologies, and strengthen quality checks and supervision at every stage.
The Prime Minister also emphasised that infrastructure projects should be monitored as complete, integrated projects rather than separate sections or packages. He directed implementing agencies to adopt an end-to-end approach and address gaps that could delay project completion and delivery of benefits. During the review of AgriStack, he called for greater use of Artificial Intelligence and other digital technologies in agriculture. On cyber fraud, Mr Modi stressed stronger prevention through continuous training, education and targeted awareness campaigns, particularly for senior citizens, youth and other vulnerable groups.
