The controversy started about Shirdi Sai Baba’s birth place is yet to resolve but , the mouthpiece of the ruling Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna states that some historians say that Sai Baba was born in Pathri, Parbhani and he reached Shirdi on foot. Later, he took samadhi in Shirdi. Pathri is also in Maharashtra and Shirdi is also in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced a grant of 100 crores for the development of Pathri.
The Chief Minister has not mentioned Pathri by searching himself. The Chief Minister said in the context of what the old painters and historians wrote. Sai Baba was a saint and the things that are unknown about him should remain unknown. Sai Baba appeared in Shirdi, no one can say that he was born there.
Saamana states that Sai Baba has unique miracles. Baba lit the lamp with water and healed the people with the fire. Mahalsapati brought Baba to Shirdi and arranged for him to stay, from then on till he left his body, Shirdi became his abode and Shirdi became a pilgrimage area for the world. Some people are of the opinion that Pathri may be the birth place of Sai Baba of Shirdi, it is mentioned. This new gadget is not written or printed by the Chief Minister.
The mouthpiece of the Shiv Sena says that no one should blame Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for the controversy over the birthplace of Sai. Shirdi became shrimant due to Baba. Who was born as a fakir and descended into Shirdi as a fakir, why so much controversy about the birth place of that fakir? Shirdi’s importance will not be reduced by the dispute of Janmsthan. Ram was born in Ayodhya, but the piece of land was disputed, yet Ayodhya belongs to Ram. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in Shivneri, and he made Raigarh the capital of Swaraj, Raigad became a pilgrimage area, so the importance of Chunri did not diminish.
The Chief Minister has not created any controversy regarding the birthplace of Sant Sai Baba.
Pathri and Shirdi also do not create controversy. On Monday, the Chief Minister told in a meeting with Shirdi residents that funds will be made available for the development of Pathri not as a place of birth of Sai Baba but as a pilgrimage area. Shirdi residents are now satisfied, and have withdrawn their bandh.
