NEW DELHI. Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), USA, successfully convened a high-level roundtable on ‘Coaching for National Transformation’ to drive governance excellence and leadership capabilities across the public sector. The landmark event, attended by Public Sector Enterprise (PSE) CMDs, Directors, and senior officials, featured keynote addresses by SCOPE Director General Atul Sobti, ICF CEO Magdalena Nowicka Mook, and ICF Vice President Robert Garcia. Highlighting the long-term collaboration formalized through a mutual agreement, the discussion centered on integrating professional coaching frameworks into core corporate strategies to build highly collaborative, resilient workforces capable of navigating modern geopolitical and economic challenges.
During the session, the leadership outlined a time-bound roadmap to establish a robust coaching culture framework specifically tailored for PSEs, which includes launching awareness programs and creating a dedicated platform to onboard credentialed national and international coaches. Leaders emphasized that coaching has evolved from a traditional development tool into a strategic accelerator of performance and human-centric governance that replaces rigid, top-down structures. Concluding the session, GAIL Director (HR) Ayush Gupta reflected on the growing importance of structured coaching for public sector leaders in managing diverse organizational expectations while maintaining a steadfast alignment with ICF’s globally recognized gold standards.
