Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has appointed M. Sridhar as Director (Human Resources) on its Board, effective October 22, 2026. Prior to his elevation, he served as Executive Director (Human Resources) at the company’s Corporate Office in New Delhi.
NEW DELHI. Sridhar joined BHEL as an Engineer Trainee in 1990 and brings over 36 years of experience spanning manufacturing, commercial operations, project execution, industrial relations, and corporate HR policy. Over his distinguished career, he has held several key leadership positions across BHEL’s Hyderabad unit and Corporate Office, handling portfolios such as turbine and compressor manufacturing, contracts management, marketing, central dispatch, and productivity planning.
An engineering alumnus of CBIT, Osmania University, Sridhar holds an M.Tech in CAD/CAM from JNTU, Hyderabad, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Prior to joining the Board, he headed BHEL’s Corporate Human Resource function, where he played a pivotal role in refining performance management systems, shaping HR policies, and driving strategic talent initiatives. His comprehensive expertise across technical, operational, and managerial domains is expected to strengthen BHEL’s workforce strategy, organizational development, and ongoing transformation efforts as he joins the top leadership team.
