Bilaspur: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has achieved a significant operational milestone by crossing 100 million tonnes (MT) of coal despatch, with total despatches reaching 100.06 MT. This major achievement underscores SECL’s vital role in meeting India’s growing energy requirements by maintaining robust supply chains and optimizing multi-modal logistics across the country.
Rail transportation served as the primary driver of this milestone, accounting for the largest share at 44.62 MT. Road transport closely followed, contributing 39.30 MT, while the remaining 16.14 MT was dispatched through other specialized supply channels, ensuring a well-balanced distribution network.
Crediting the success to collective effort, SECL commended its workforce for their dedication toward maintaining continuous supply lines. Celebrating the achievement, the company stated: “100 MT and counting! SECL crosses 100 million tonnes of coal despatch. Congratulations to every member of Team SECL for making it happen!”
