NEW DELHI. NITI Aayog’s Skill Development, Labour and Employment Division organised a roundtable discussion on “International Mobility for Skilled Workers: Advancing the Training Ecosystem and Strategic State Partnerships.” The session was chaired by Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member, NITI Aayog. This roundtable convened a wide cross-section of stakeholders, fostering active participation from key Central Ministries, State Governments, prominent industry leaders, academic institutions, international organisations, and subject experts.
The discussions featured policy inputs from ministries, presentations by State Governments on key initiatives, and valuable insights from domain experts. Deliberations focused on aligning training with global standards, promoting fair and secure mobility, enhancing institutional readiness, language training, cultural orientation, and positioning India as the Skill Capital of the World.
Recommendations from the roundtable aim to build a robust international mobility ecosystem that ensures safe, orderly, and regular migration, enhances global employability, strengthens institutional capacities, and positions India as a trusted global skill partner.
