Around 220 Contract workers engaged in Steel Melting Shop -I Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) benefited from the Preventive Health Check-up Camp held at the SMS-I Conference Hall on 14th February 2025. Mr. Sunil Kartha, CGM (SMS-I) visited the camp site along with other senior officers of the department. The camp was conducted by HR – Contract Labour Cell with the help of ESI Model Hospital and IGH. Doctors and Technicians from ESI Corporation conducted the health check-up activities.
Various tests like Body Mass Index, Height, Weight, Haemoglobin, Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, Grouping and general check up like hearing and pulse rate etc. were conducted to help find and prevent the impact of diseases and keep the manpower healthy and fit for optimum performance. A survey form was provided to the workers and based on the responses, the workers were also referred to ESI Hospital for further check up and treatment.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Sangeeta M Sindur, Senior Manager (HR- CLC) and CLC Collective with the help of Mr. Aniket Anat, AGM (SMS-I).
