ASANSOL. Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) achieved a proud milestone on November 2, 2026, as its Moonidih Colliery (Western Jharia Area) received the prestigious 5-Star Rating Award for FY 2024-25, securing an impressive 92% score in the national assessment of underground mines. The award was presented by Chief Guest Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, to BCCL CMD Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal and General Manager Shri V.
Vijay Kumar during the Star Rating Awards Ceremony in Raipur. Attended by key Ministry of Coal officials, including Additional Secretary Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha and Coal Controller Shri Satish Kumar, the event recognized the operational excellence and collective dedication of Moonidih Colliery’s officers and workforce.
