CONTRACT WORKERS FELICITATED AT TRAFFIC & RAW MATERIALS DEPARTMENT

A  Prize Distribution Ceremony for Contractual Labours was organized recently by the Traffic & Raw Materials (T&RM) Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant. Mr. Kaushika Sunyani, CGM (T&RM), Mr. Gyana Ranjan Dash, GM (HR), Mr. Arvind Upadhyaya, DGM (T&RM),  and other senior officers and employees of the department were present on the occasion.

In his address, Mr. Kaushika Sunyani, emphasized the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation and continuous improvement.   Mr. Dash  elaborated on the broader vision of employee engagement and welfare initiatives at RSP, highlighting how small yet impactful contributions from the workforce play a crucial role in operational success. Mr.  Upadhyaya,  spoke about the initiative and its impact on boosting motivation and efficiency within the workforce. The event commenced with Mrs. Sangeeta M. Sindur, Senior Manager (HR),  explaining the significance of the award.  During the event, the dignitaries handed over awards to 20 contract workers for their outstanding performance and valuable suggestions that benefited the department. A total of Rs.10,000/- was distributed as cash rewards among the awardees. Notably, in addition to financial incentives, several non-monetary benefits have resulted from the valuable suggestions implemented by the contract laborers.

The event was well received by attendees and reinforced SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant’s commitment to employee recognition, inclusivity, and workplace excellence.
