BILASPUR. Shri Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra has officially assumed charge as Director (Technical) – Operations at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), alongside holding the additional charge of Director (Technical) – Project & Planning. With over three decades of rich experience in the mining sector, Shri Mohapatra began his career at SECL’s Korba Area in Surakachhar Colliery and subsequently held key positions including Colliery Manager, Project Officer, Additional General Manager, and General Manager of the Jhanjra Area at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL). Throughout his distinguished career across Coal India Limited’s major underground and opencast operations, he has been instrumental in boosting production, deploying modern mining technologies, resolving complex land and rehabilitation issues, and strengthening community relations.
