MARGAO: Goa’s political landscape appears to be witnessing the early signs of a new political realignment ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
The Teachers’ Town Hall organised by former Goa Congress president Amit Patkar in Margao on Sunday saw Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai and AAP Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas share the stage with Patkar while discussing issues concerning Goa’s education sector.
The coming together of Patkar, Sardesai and Viegas on a common platform has fuelled speculation that a third-front alliance could be in the making ahead of the 2027 elections.
The optics of the three leaders sharing the stage at Patkar’s initiative have added a new dimension to Goa’s political landscape, raising questions over whether this could be the beginning of a broader political understanding.
