KOLKATA. Coal India Limited (CIL) successfully conducted its 52nd Annual General Meeting via video conferencing on August 31, 2026, with active participation from Chairman Shri B. Sairam, the functional and independent directors, and senior Ministry of Coal officials, including Additional Secretary Smt. Rupinder Brar and JS & FA Shri Ashim Kumar Modi. Addressing the shareholders, Chairman Shri B. Sairam highlighted the Maharatna CPSE’s operational and financial achievements during FY 2025–26, reiterating the company’s vital contribution to national energy security while outlining a clear strategic roadmap focused on strengthening coal production, expanding evacuation infrastructure, accelerating investments in renewable energy and coal gasification, and maintaining rigorous financial discipline.
