NEW DELHI: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has appointed Dr. Archna Thakur as a Non-Official Independent Director on its Board, following approval from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Her appointment will be for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment marks another step in ONGC’s efforts to strengthen its corporate governance and strategic leadership.
Dr. Archna Thakur brings a strong academic and professional profile to the Board. She holds a Doctorate in International Politics from Himachal Pradesh University and is a Gold Medalist in Master’s in Political Science. Her expertise is expected to contribute to Board-level deliberations, governance and strategic oversight as ONGC continues to play a key role in India’s energy sector.
