WCL and BAIF Join Hands to Empower 4,800 Rural Families in Nagpur

WCL BAIF empower 4,800 rural families

Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has signed a MoU with the BAIF Development Research Foundation to implement the Community Livelihood Enhancement and Sustainable Rural Development Programme under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The programme will focus on promoting climate-resilient livelihoods, food and nutrition security, and sustainable rural development among communities in Umred and Bhivapur blocks of Nagpur district.

The initiative aims to enhance livelihood opportunities and annual incomes of 1,000 small and marginal farmers while creating wider benefits for around 4,800 families across 20 villages. Through the partnership, WCL and BAIF will work towards strengthening rural communities and supporting sustainable and resilient development in the region.
