NAGPUR. Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BAIF Development Research Foundation to implement the Community Livelihood Enhancement and Sustainable Rural Development Programme under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The programme will promote climate-resilient livelihoods, food and nutrition security, and sustainable rural development in Umred and Bhivapur blocks of Nagpur district. The initiative aims to enhance annual income and livelihood opportunities for 1,000 small and marginal farmers while benefiting around 4,800 families across 20 villages. Through the partnership, WCL and BAIF will support sustainable agricultural practices and strengthen community-based livelihood opportunities, contributing to improved economic resilience and overall rural development in the targeted areas.
