NBCC Restructures Boards of Subsidiaries, Abolishes Key Posts

NBCC subsidiary board restructuring

NEW DELHI. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), in consultation with the DPE and PESB, has restructured the Boards of NBCC (India) Limited’s subsidiaries. Under the restructuring, the posts of Managing Director and Director (Finance) in HSCL, and Managing Director and Director (Engineering) in HSCC, have been abolished. The Managing Director and Director (Engineering) posts in HSCC and the Managing Director post in HSCL were vacant, while the Director (Finance) post in HSCL was held  Shri Shyam Awasthi, whose tenure was due to end on August 1, 2026, although his superannuation is scheduled for March 31, 2035. The restructuring follows the merger of NBCC’s wholly owned subsidiary HSCC with its parent company.
