NEW DELHI. The REC Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of REC Limited, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, to provide doorstep primary healthcare services to underserved communities. Under this agreement, which was signed in the presence of Member of Parliament Arun Govil, Medical College Principal Ramesh Gupta, and senior REC officials, the REC Foundation has committed financial assistance of 1.20 crore rupees. This funding will cover the procurement and deployment of one Mobile Medical Unit, as well as its operational expenses for a period of three years. The mobile unit is designed to play a vital role in delivering essential medical care directly to remote areas, ensuring timely healthcare access for individuals who otherwise face limited medical facilities.
Senior REC officials including Director (Projects) TSC Bosh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director (CSR) Arun Kumar Tyagi and HOD (CSR) Bhupesh Chandolia also present on the occasion.
