A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training on “Suraksha Sathi” was held at Learning and Development Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 5th and 6th September, 2025. Mr. H N Pati, GM (HR-L&D) was present in the inaugural function. 39 outsourced employees engaged in different areas of the plant attended the 2-Day training program.
The technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Madhusudan Mohini, Secretary, Safety Council, Odisha chapter & faculty of IISSSC (Indian Iron & Steel Sector Skill Council) with whom L&D has entered into an MOU. The sessions focused on standard practices in the steel industry, Steel Plant Hazards, Safety, PPE, 5S, primary roles and responsibilities while dealing with day to day processes/activities at steel plant. In this competency based instructor-led training the professional development and up skilling activities are given priority.
