On 3rd September 2025, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and IIM Bangalore (IIMB) formalized a strategic agreement to collaborate on Executive Education Programmes, marking a significant step towards developing future-ready leaders. This partnership combines academic excellence with practical industry insights through customized leadership development initiatives, strategy and innovation-driven learning, action-based projects for measurable business impact, faculty-led workshops, joint research, consulting, and case studies tailored to SAIL’s unique organizational journey. The MoA was signed at IIMB in the presence of Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Director In-charge of IIMB, and Shri K. K. Singh, Director (Personnel) of SAIL, along with senior faculty and SAIL representatives. Shri K. K. Singh reaffirmed SAIL’s commitment to enhancing leadership capabilities to stay competitive globally, while Prof. Dinesh Kumar emphasized the importance of academia-industry collaboration in shaping future leaders and knowledge resources. The two-year MoA was signed by Shri Sanjay Dhar, officiating ED (HR-L&D), MTI, SAIL, and Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson of Executive Education Programmes at IIMB, aiming to strengthen SAIL’s leadership pipeline, organizational capabilities, and align with global best practices—furthering the shared vision of nation-building through leadership excellence.
