All the 25 Quality Circle Teams of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were awarded under different categories in the 38th National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC) held by QCFI at Gwalior in association with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior from 27th to 30th January 2024. The Theme of the convention was “Investing in people, building a better future.”
16 out of the 25 QC teams received Par Excellence award, which is the highest award of the competition. The teams are Tejas’ from New Plate Mill, ‘Shrushti’, ‘Prayas’ and ‘Ignite’ from Oxygen Plant, ‘Samarpan’ from Steel Melting Shop-I, ‘Sambhab’ and ‘Pinnacle’ from Raw Material Handling Plant, ‘Lakshyam’ from RCL, Avishkar’ from Pipe Plant, ‘Pragati’ from Instrumentation, ‘Ekam’ from C&IT, ‘Srujan’ from Sintering Plant –II, ‘Megamind’ from Roll Shop, ‘Utkarsh’ from Blast Furnace, ‘Nishkarsh’ from Air Conditioning, ‘Pioneer’ from I&A,
Nine teams got the Excellence award. They are ‘Shakti’ from Power Distribution, ‘Vijeta’ from Sintering Plant – I, ‘Aarohan’ from Hot Strip Mill-2, ‘Dynamic’ from Plate Mill, ‘Ankur’ from Pipe Plant, ‘Creative’ from SMS-II, ‘Karmveer’ from Coke Ovens, ‘Samrudhi’ from Plate Mill, ‘Agranee’ from Raw Material Handling Plant,
The Pragati team of Instrumentation bagged the Best Live Model Award. The entire team participation was coordinated by the Research and Control Laboratory Department.
