REC Limited and THDC India Limited (THDCIL) have signed a MoU to advance the development of power projects across India. The MoU establishes a framework for REC to provide financial support to THDCIL for diversified energy projects, including the creation, upgradation, and maintenance of power generation and supply systems.
The agreement was signed by Sh. Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD of REC, and Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical) of THDCIL.
Key projects under the MoU include THDCIL’s development of a 10,000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in Rajasthan, 6,790 MW of Pumped Storage Projects in Maharashtra, and 3,500 MW in Chhattisgarh, along with solar and hydro projects in Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Karnataka. The collaboration reinforces India’s push towards strengthening its energy infrastructure and expanding its renewable energy capabilities.
