NTPC Bongaigaon concluded its four-week Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) yesterday . The event, attended by key dignitaries like Shri Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, and Shri Pushpraj Singh, IPS, celebrated NTPC’s commitment to community development. The program featured cultural performances and distributed cycles to the girls, showcasing NTPC’s dedication to holistic empowerment.
Shri Akhilesh Singh, Business Unit Head, emphasized the importance of outbound training. GEM provided academic and extracurricular training, including life skills, yoga, and crafts, to 40 local girls. The initiative, launched in 2018, has empowered over 18,000 girls across NTPC stations, with NTPC Bongaigaon hosting it for the third time this year.
