Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapuu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, chaired a high-level coordination meeting at Delhi Airport to address the operational challenges stemming from the upgradation work on Runway 10/28 and the unexpected impact of westerly wind patterns. Key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and airline operators, have been directed to work closely together to ensure seamless passenger movement and minimize disruption to flight operations during this critical phase.
Despite the temporary non-availability of one runway, the Minister expressed confidence that proactive planning, enhanced coordination, and continuous monitoring would uphold the standards of safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort associated with India’s civil aviation sector. He assured travelers that the Ministry is closely overseeing the situation and is committed to maintaining smooth operations across the airport
