The Bharat National Cyber Exercise (NCX) 2024 has concluded on 2nd December, 2024 with unprecedented success, setting new standards in cyber resilience and innovation. Training over 600 participants, this landmark event brought together cybersecurity professionals, policymakers, defense personnel, academia, and industry leaders to fortify India’s cybersecurity readiness.
Two major milestones marked the event’s success – the unveiling of the National Cybersecurity Reference Framework by the Director General of NCIIPC and the inauguration of the Bharat National Cyber Range 1.0, an indigenous development by Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). These initiatives, alongside the Bharat CISOs Conclave and the BHARAT Cybersecurity Startup Exhibition, facilitated strategic discussions and showcased cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations.
At the valedictory ceremony, Lt. Gen. Johnson P. Mathew, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, emphasized Bharat NCX 2024’s critical role in securing India’s digital frontiers. He praised the collaborative efforts and highlighted the need for continued foresight and innovation. Professor Kalpesh Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor of RRU, underscored academia’s pivotal role in advancing national cybersecurity and reaffirmed RRU’s commitment to fostering collaboration, exemplified through the development of Bharat National Cyber Range 1.0.
In his summing-up remarks, Lt. Gen. M.U. Nair, National Cyber Security Coordinator, provided a comprehensive overview of the event’s outcomes, stressing the strategic value of the initiatives launched. Major General Manjeet Singh, Joint Secretary (Cyber) at the National Security Council Secretariat, summarized key lessons learned, offering actionable insights for enhancing cyber resilience and capacity building.
