The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in collaboration with the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), organised an Awareness Session on the National Pension System (NPS) for MSMEs at PHD House, New Delhi.
The session focused on enhancing MSME awareness of NPS benefits, employer registration and contributions, tax-efficient retirement planning, investment options, and integration with existing retirement benefits such as EPF and Superannuation.
Shri Sudhir Singh, Deputy General Manager, PFRDA, provided an overview of NPS explaining benefits to MSMEs, while Shri Abhishek Dhiman, Assistant Manager, PFRDA, elaborated on its benefits and key features. Shri Aishwarya Mudgal, Regional Head, HDFC Pension Fund, explained the NPS onboarding journey and practical implementation aspects.
The programme included an interactive Q&A session, enabling MSME representatives to clarify their queries on NPS and retirement planning.
Ms Babeeta Sharma, Director, PHDCCI, delivered the Welcome Address and concluded the programme with the Vote of Thanks, emphasising the importance of strengthening retirement security and financial planning for the MSME workforce.
The session was highly interactive and informative, with active participation from MSME representatives. It provided participants an opportunity to engage with pension-sector experts, seek clarifications and gain practical insights into NPS and retirement planning.
