NEW DELHI. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission is providing training to artisans across the country, including Karnataka, on operating and maintaining agarbatti machines as well as the manufacturing process under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana. During the training, raw materials are supplied, and upon completion, machines are distributed to artisans to support self-employment. KVIC also facilitates market linkages through Khadi institutions, exhibitions, outlets, and online platforms. Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje informed in the Rajya Sabha that while the programme continues to expand, there is currently no proposal to set up Centres of Excellence for the agarbatti industry.
