Mohit Kamboj champions faith-led service and safer public gatherings through structured crowd management
Mumbai, 20 September 2025: The Mohit Kamboj Bharatiya Foundation has been formally acknowledged by the Shri Kshetra Bhimashankar Sansthan for its dedicated support during the Shravani Somwar Yatra, conducted between July 11 and August 23, 2025. With its smart crowd management, the Foundation enabled lakhs of devotees to experience a safe and spiritually fulfilling darshan. The Sansthan, in its letter of gratitude, credited the Foundation for ensuring smooth crowd movement and dignified facilities throughout the 30-day pilgrimage. Bhimashankar Temple, set in the Sahyadri hills of Maharashtra and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, attracts lakhs of devotees during Shravan, leading to long queues and heavy overcrowding due to its remote, limited-access location.
Speaking on this recognition, Mohit Kamboj, Founder of the Mohit Kamboj Bharatiya Foundation, said: “Faith is at the heart of our culture, and serving society through such occasions of devotion is both an honor and a responsibility. Public celebrations should not be marred by fear; they should inspire collective joy with the reassurance that every life is safeguarded. Crowd management is not merely a logistical challenge, it is a social responsibility.”
Mohit Kamboj has consistently urged India to rethink how it manages large gatherings from the Kumbh Mela and Ganesh Chaturthi to sporting spectacles like the IPL stressing the need to move beyond reactive measures toward proactive safeguarding. He advocates for a people-first approach that prioritizes elderly citizens, children, families, and persons with disabilities. Highlighting the role of technology, he points to AI-enabled cameras, IoT sensors, and real-time density monitoring as silent protectors of human life when used responsibly, while also emphasizing collaboration between municipal bodies, law enforcement, and event organizers to embed safety into the DNA of every celebration.
The acknowledgement at Bhimashankar underscores the Mohit Kamboj Bharatiya Foundation’s larger mission of uniting faith, service, and social progress. Beyond crowd management, the Foundation works actively on temple restoration, transgender upliftment through healthcare and housing initiatives, and dignified funerals for unclaimed deceased individuals. Each initiative reflects its guiding philosophy that true service to God lies in service to humanity.
