In an award function organized at the ED (HR) Conference Hall on 6th September, 2025, employees of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were awarded under the My RSP-My Identity initiative. Mr. Manas Ranjan Rath, CGM (HR)) presented the awards to the recipients. Mr. Somajeet Badpanda, GM (HR-OD) and other Senior Officers of HR were present on the occasion. Notably, the awards are in recognition of the best thought and views posted in the RSP PORTAL EMPLOYEE ZONE (Web and Mobile app) during the course of the competition which was open from 17th July to 31st July, 2025.
The recipients of the award are Ms. Supriya Bhoi, Junior Engineering Associate (New Plate Mill), Mr. Prafulla Kumar Patra, Section Officer (Hospitality-Airport), Ms. Ipsita Nayak, Senior Executive Assistant (Human Resource), Mr. Gopal Chandra Barbhuyan, , Assistant Manager (Oxygen Plant), Mr. Mukul Kumar, AGM (Coal Chemicals), Mr. Aruna Kumar Patnayak, Section Officer (Welfare), Human Resource, Mr. Siddhant Kumar Pal, Senior Manager (Blust Funaces), Mr. Subrata Gochhayat, Junior Engineering Associate, CE(S), and Ms. Divya Dash, AGM, CE(S).
It is worth mentioning here that My RSP-My Identity, is an unique initiative that encourages employees to share their positive thoughts, emotions and experience of being part of the organisation. As per this initiative, employees are required to write at least one complete sentence of positive thoughts about RSP everyday over a span of 15 days.
The 6th edition of this award, launched in January 2023 under My RSP-My Identity unique initiative, saw enthusiastic participation from employees, showcasing their strong bond with RSP. 2954 employees of RSP made entries in RSP Portal Employee Zone (both Web and Mobile App).
The competition aimed to foster a sense of pride among employees and encourage a habit of positive thinking and speaking well about the plant.
