NHPC successfully organized the second edition of ‘Gyanankan – The Business Quiz’ as part of its Organizational Development initiatives, aimed at encouraging employees to stay updated with the latest business terms, current affairs, and global advancements while fostering innovative and creative thinking. The quiz received enthusiastic participation from NHPC employees across various Regional Offices, Power Stations, Projects, and Units, with the preliminary round attracting a wide range of participants from all over the country.
The Semi-Final and Grand Finale took place at NHPC’s Corporate Office in Faridabad on March 18, 2025, with Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), as the chief guest. The Grand Finale featured multiple rounds of challenging quizzing on a wide array of topics related to the business and corporate world, captivating the audience. Ultimately, the team of Shri Abdul Hadi (Manager, Electrical) and Shri Deepak (Deputy Manager, Mechanical) from Sewa-II Power Station (J&K) emerged as the winners. The first runners-up were Shri Siddhi Vinayak (General Manager, Civil, Dhauliganga Power Station, Uttarakhand) and Shri C Vinod (Senior Manager, Electrical, Sewa Power Station, J&K), while the second runners-up were Shri T. Marconi Singh (Senior Manager, IT) and Shri Ajay Acharya (Manager, Electrical) from Loktak Power Station (Manipur). The quiz was expertly conducted by renowned quiz masters Shri S.P.S Jaggi, Former Director (P&A), and Shri Deepak Taneja, AGM (CC) from IOCL.
