The celebration of 50th Raising Day commenced with CMD, NTPC hoisting the flag at EOC, Noida today in the presence of Directors on the Board and senior officials. Employees from all locations joined the celebrations via video conferencing.
Congratulating each and every employee of NTPC and their family members on this historic occasion, the CMD, Shri Gurdeep Singh said the dedication and resilience of our workforce have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable feat. This year, as we honor our legacy, we also resolve to embrace innovation and set new standards of performance, safety, and environmental stewardship, he said.
During his address, he also remembered the pioneers starting from our founding chairman Dr D V Kapoor and other visionary leaders who laid the foundation for this great institution.
CMD also unveiled the NTPC 50-year logo and virtually launched the Hydrogen-fueled buses ready to operate at Leh. He also recognized the extraordinary achievements of NTPC employees’ children on this occasion.
Later, CMD also launched several IT applications and released a Comic Book on Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), the flagship CSR programme of NTPC.
