The day began with the administration of the Environment Day Pledge to all employees by Shri Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project and Business Unit Head, NTPC Bongaigaon. Following the pledge, a walkathon was organized, with enthusiastic participation from senior officials, employees, and their families.
Employees, family members, ladies club members, associates, children from Notre Dame School, and Ankur Tiny Tots School of the township joined hands to plant over 100 saplings at various locations of the plant and township. The planted saplings included a variety of fruit-bearing and medicinal trees, promoting biodiversity and environmental health.
