In a notable stride towards achieving energy self-sufficiency, Indian Oil’s Paradip and Panipat Refineries have successfully launched “Reference Gasoline and Diesel Fuels.” This landmark achievement was celebrated in the presence of Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, underlining India’s technological prowess and commitment to the vision of an AtmaNirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
The Minister highlighted the significance of this achievement as India’s first foray into the production of Reference Gasoline and Diesel Fuels. This home-grown development aligns with international benchmarks and showcases IndianOil’s commitment to excellence. Moreover, this achievement not only reduces India’s reliance on imported fuels but also positions the nation’s energy industry as a formidable player with exclusive competencies on the global stage
IndianOil’s Research & Development Centre played an essential role in this achievement, having filed over 1500 patents and gaining recognition for decades of pioneering work.
