SJVN signs a historic MoA for implementing five hydro projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

In the august presence of  Union Power Minister Sh. R.K Singh and  Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Sh. Pema Khandu, a MoA was signed between SJVN and Government of Arunachal Pradesh for executing five hydro power projects of 5097 MW in the state.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN and Sh. Ankur Garg, Commissioner (Hydro Power),  Arunachal Pradesh signed the MoA in Itanagar today. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Chowna Mein, Union Power Secretary Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Union Additional Power Secretary Sh. Ajay Tewari, Director Finance (SJVN) Sh. A.K Singh and senior officials from State Government, SJVN and other PSUs were also present.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma stated that construction of these projects shall involve total investment of around Rs 50,000 crores and would add over 20,652 million units of electricity generation annually to the nation’s capacity.
