The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is planning to deploy police officials in Metro coaches, both in uniforms and civil clothes, to check unruly and “objectionable” behaviours inside the train. The decision came after multiple such incidents, including public masturbation, were reported recently.
The top officials have directed Delhi Metro’s flying squads to do frequent patrols across the network.The surveillance of onboard CCTV cameras will also be augmented.
