Uddhav to be elected Unopposed

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is ready to enter the Legislative Council unopposed after the Congress decided to withdraw one of its two candidates for elections to 9 seats .

“Now we have determined to area just one out of two nominees for the MLC elections, which implies the MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress) could have 5 nominees for as many seats (out of the entire 9),” state Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat said .
The BJP has fielded 4 candidates.

“Uddhav Thackeray personally feels that the election for the 9 seats of the Legislative Council happen unopposed. He expects so as a result of he desires to dedicate most of his time to the continued combat in opposition to coronavirus,” Mr Raut advised reporters earlier right this moment.
