The Airports Authority of India (AAI) wants most airports in the country to be fully reliant on green energy by 2024 and Net Zero by 2030
India currently has more than 140 airports, and that number is set to rise to 230 by the end of this decade. According to the AAI, more than 40 airports in India have transitioned to using 100% renewable energy, and the country’s top two busiest airports – Delhi and Mumbai – are among them. Delhi Airport was the first in the country to use a combination of hydro and solar power for 100% energy, while Mumbai uses hydro, solar, and wind power.
He said, as the first overseas office of HAL, it symbolizes the potential for closer defence industrial collaboration between India and Malaysia and also, the South East Asian Region.
