NMDC Director-Finance Amitava Mukherjee, who since March 2023 has been holding additional charge as the chairman and managing director, on Thursday assumed office as the CMD of the State-owned miner.
The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) had in November 2024 recommended his name for the post of CMD. The Union Steel Ministry order appointing him to the post was issued on March 6.
Shri Amitava Mukherjee is driving the digital transformation of India’s mining major. Spearheading the implementation of ERP, he led NMDC to become the first CPSE in India to implement ERP on the SAP S4/HANA platform. In his tenure as Director (Finance), NMDC has recorded the best ever financial performance in company history.
