NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Ayush on Wednesday launched its first workplace wellness initiative, ‘Prakriti Cafe,’ at Ayush Bhawan to promote healthy eating habits grounded in traditional Ayush Ahaar principles. Inaugurating the facility, Union Minister of State Prataprao Jadhav emphasized that nutritious eating is a crucial cornerstone of preventive healthcare, especially amid rising lifestyle-related diseases driven by modern fast-food habits. He highlighted that the café aims to make wholesome, traditional Indian meals easily accessible and affordable for daily workplace consumption.
Designed to seamlessly integrate India’s ancient dietary wisdom into modern corporate culture, the café features a curated menu of balanced, nutrient-dense dishes and beverages. Offerings include beetroot and oats cutlets, kosambari, millet dhokla, little millet upma, and jaggery-sweetened makhana kheer, alongside herbal drinks like tulsi-ginger tea and fresh coconut water.
