The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has (MMRDA) proposed installation of rooftop solar panels at 17 stations on Line 2A (Dahisar to DN Nagar Andheri) and 13 stations on Line 7 (Dahisar East to Andheri East).
The MMRDA has constructed the rooftop of the Charkop depot, In addition to the 30 stations which are available for solar panels. The MMRDA has suggested a solar power generation capacity of 7,100 kW.
