COVID CASES CROSSED 7 LAKH MARK

India has now lost more than 20,000 lives to the coronavirus disease and total cases past 7,00,000 mark according to the official data. total number reached now 7,19,665 while world corona meter crossed 1 crore 17 lakh number .

Meanwhile DEHLI also crosses 1 lakh-mark after 1,379 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the national capital in the last 24 hours, making it the third region in the country to have more than a lakh cases since the outbreak after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the national capital now stands at 1,00,823, but recoveries have also rose significantly to reach 72,088, according to authorities.

There are currently 25,620 active cases while the death toll has reached 3,115 after 48 more virus-related fatalities were reported in the city in the last 24 hours, they said.

The number of COVID tests has crossed the 10 million (1 crore) milestone. This signifies the importance accorded to widespread testing and the focussed “Test, Trace, Treat” strategy with several follow-up measures taken in tandem by the Central government and the States/UTs. During the last 24 hours 3,46,459 samples have been tested. The cumulative number of samples tested, as of now is 1,01,35,525.As on date, more than 1105 labs have enables people to undergo COVID tests.

Consistent and focussed efforts for containment and management of COVID-19 by Government of India along with the States/UTs have led to the number of recovered cases among COVID-19 patients rise to 4,24,432 as of today. During the last 24 hours, a total of 15,350 COVID-19 patients have been cured.

There are 1,71,145 more recovered patients than COVID-19 active cases. This takes the national recovery rate amongst COVID-19 to 60.86%. There are 2,53,287 active cases and all are under active medical supervision.

Maharashtra
The state Covid-19 tally jumped to 2,11,987 as per the website of Union health ministry. Over 1,15,262 people have recovered from coronavirus in Maharashtra while 9,026 have died.

Tamil Nadu
With 1,14,978 coronavirus cases, Tamil Nadu is the state with second-highest coronavirus cases in the country and has witnessed 1,571 coronavirus fatalities. The number of patients who have recovered from coronavirus in the state stands at 66,571.
