Bengaluru. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the National Culture Fund (NCF) and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to support heritage conservation and site development across three prominent historical landmarks: Hampi in Karnataka, the Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh, and Bekal Fort in Kerala. The MoA was signed in New Delhi in the presence of senior officials from HAL, NCF, and the Ministry of Culture.
Under this CSR initiative, HAL has approved ₹23.60 crore in financial assistance spanning the financial years 2026–27 through 2028–29. The project at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi will focus on developing the historic North and South Bazaar areas, while interventions at the Taj Mahal and Bekal Fort will centre on approved conservation and visitor enhancement works tailored to each site.
The National Culture Fund will facilitate project implementation, while all physical work will be carried out under the technical supervision and guidance of the ASI to ensure strict adherence to conservation standards. This collaborative effort highlights the role of corporate-public partnerships in safeguarding India’s rich cultural legacy and promoting sustainable heritage tourism for future generations.
