Bhubaneswar: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has signed a Long-Term Gas Transmission Agreement with GAIL (India) Limited to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted supply of natural gas for its Smelter Plant at the S&P Complex in Anugul, Odisha. The partnership forms a key part of NALCO’s ongoing initiative to revamp its furnace firing systems across plant facilities, including the Cast House, Pot Lines, Rolling Plant, and Anode Baking Furnace. To facilitate smooth distribution across these upgraded operational areas, GAIL will set up a dedicated Gas Distribution Station within the smelter plant premises, strengthening the facility’s overall energy and operational infrastructure.
