Bongaigaon: NTPC Bongaigaon has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Zankla Foundation to launch Project SRIJAN, a 12-month Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative backed by a Rs 15 lakh financial support. The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials, including Shri Arnab Maitra (Executive Director, NTPC Bongaigaon), Shri V. Jayanarayanan (CGM, NTPC Limited), Shri P. K. Sahu (AGM, CSR), and Shri Kirat Brahma (Founder, Zankla Foundation), alongside representatives from both organizations.

The project will provide structured training in eco-friendly toy making and embroidery art to 15 selected beneficiaries from two project-affected villages. Led by Kirat Brahma, an NID alumnus, the initiative blends contemporary design with traditional Bodo culture and folklore. Going beyond basic skill development, Project SRIJAN ensures long-term economic empowerment through continuous mentorship, handholding, and market linkages. Additionally, the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club of NTPC Bongaigaon will actively coordinate with and support the women beneficiaries to help them transition their new skills into sustained, dignified incomes.
