VISAKHAPATNAM. The foundation stone for the Google Cloud India AI Hub was laid in Visakhapatnam by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. This event is part of the Adani-Google-Airtel data centre project in the city.

He emphasized the importance of local manufacturing of servers, chips, and electronic components to boost the country’s digital infrastructure.

Vaishnaw also described Visakhapatnam as an emerging hub for artificial intelligence, calling it “AI Patnam.” The AI Hub aims to advance sectors like education, healthcare, and agriculture, strengthening India’s global digital connectivity.
