BILASPUR: South Eastern Coalfields Limited successfully conducted the “Dhara Shakti” programme on April 22, 2026, at its Bishrampur Area to enhance women’s participation in the coal sector. The initiative, guided by the vision of CMD Harish Duhan, aims to encourage Class 10-pass women employees in Category-I roles to take up operational and technical positions. The programme was held under the supervision of a committee from the company headquarters in Bilaspur.
The event was attended by Smt. Sujata Rani, General Manager (HR/Establishment) and Chairperson of the committee, along with Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Area General Manager, and other officials. A total of 37 women employees participated, of whom 20 showed interest in undergoing training for technical and operational roles. The initiative reflects SECL’s commitment to gender inclusion, skill development, and empowering women in the workforce.
