BHOPAL. Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the three-day Unnat Krishi Mahotsav at Dashehra Maidan in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the growing role of advanced technologies in Indian agriculture. The festival, being held from April 11 to 13, features live demonstrations of innovations such as drones, solar pumps, and micro-irrigation systems, drawing significant interest from farmers and agri-experts alike.
A major attraction at the exhibition is the Krishi Viman, which is emerging as a game-changer in precision farming. The advanced agri-drone platform is designed to enhance crop productivity, optimize input usage, and reduce labor dependency. Its presence at the Mahotsav underscores the increasing adoption of drone-based solutions in modern agriculture.
During their visit to the Krishi Viman stall, Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister , Shri Mohan Yadav, and senior officials from Indian Council of Agricultural Research were briefed on the technology by Dr Shankar Goenka, Managing Director of WOW Go Green. He explained how Krishi Drone technology can significantly improve crop yields through precise spraying, monitoring, and data-driven farming practices.
The Mahotsav has brought together over 300 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 50,000 farmers. Across four seminar halls, experts are engaging directly with farmers on 20 key topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture and integrated farming systems.
The strong response to Krishi Viman at the exhibition reflects a broader shift toward technology-driven agriculture, offering farmers practical tools to boost productivity and sustainability.
