Coal India’s Safety Board Holds 61st Meeting to Strengthen Mine Safety

Shri P.M. Prasad, Chairman of Coal India, presided over the 61st meeting of the company’s Safety Board at the corporate headquarters in Kolkata. The meeting was attended by Shri Ujjwal Tah, Director General of Mines Safety; Shri Achut Ghatak, Director (Technical); CMDs of subsidiary companies; representatives of trade unions and associations; safety board members; and senior officials from CIL and DGMS. Dr. Vinay Ranjan, Director (HR), joined virtually. The Board reviewed key safety initiatives across mining operations and outlined a future roadmap aimed at further improving mine safety standards.
