As part of the ongoing Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2025, NTPC Bongaigaon organized a transformative workshop titled “Being Mindful with Creativity” on 18th July 2025. Conducted by Zankla Studio, an Assam-based creative platform known for its sustainable handcrafted toys and products, the session was led by its acclaimed Director, Shri Kirat Brahma. Recognized nationally by the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister of India, Shri Brahma guided the children through a nature-centered mindfulness experience that blended storytelling, reflection, and creativity.
Centered around the theme “Nature is Us,” the workshop engaged 40 girls, aged 10 to 12, in experiential activities designed to foster self-awareness, calm thinking, and environmental empathy. Using eco-conscious models of rare and endangered species, the Zankla team introduced participants to the interconnectedness of nature and self. The workshop encouraged the children to explore their own creativity while recognizing their potential as future stewards of sustainability and positive change.
The session concluded with a heartfelt felicitation by Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, who praised the Zankla team for their enriching contribution. She highlighted the significance of such creative engagements in nurturing confidence, mindfulness, and environmental responsibility among rural children. Through GEM and similar initiatives, NTPC Bongaigaon continues its mission to empower young minds and cultivate holistic growth in a meaningful and inclusive way.
