As part of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of POWERGRID, a Skill Development Centre at Banka Sub-station was inaugurated by Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel) POWERGRID.
On this occasion, Shri Amitabh Barat, Executive Director, of Eastern Region-II, Shri B. K. Mundu, Executive Director, Human Resource Development, Shri Arindam Sensharma, Executive Director, Eastern Region-I were present.
The Skill Development Center has been established with the aim of providing training related to tower stringing and erection in the field of power transmission.
Shri S R Narasimhan, CMD, GRID-INDIA, has been awarded the NPSC Industry Excellence Award 2024 at the 23rd National Power Systems Conference (NPSC) at IIT Indore on Dec 14, 2024!
This recognition is for his exceptional contribution to power system operations.
Under his leadership, key power sector achievements include SCED (?4000 Cr savings), cybersecurity in the Indian Electricity Grid Code (2023), PFR testing (85 GW), and AGC rollout for 70,000 MW, enhancing grid efficiency & India’s global energy expertise.
Also, kudos to Shri Phanisankar Chilukuri, Chief Manager, GRID-INDIA, who received the NPSC Young Engineer Award (Industry) 2024 for his outstanding work in the power sector! Both recognitions highlight GRID-INDIA’s leadership & commitment to excellence.
